About

About College Visit Guides

College Visit Guides publishes parent-first, trip-based campus visit guides. Instead of one school per page, each guide groups nearby schools into realistic days. It covers official tour sign-up links, where visitors park, the nearest transit stop, a hotel base that works for the whole trip, meals between tours and things for younger siblings.

How we source

  • No invented data. Every address, garage, rate, hour, distance and transit line comes from a page we actually checked. If we can't confirm a detail, we leave it out or point you to the official page.
  • Visible sources. Facts carry small [S#] links to the exact page we used, and each guide ends with its full source list and the date we checked it.
  • Official pages first. Parking, tour formats and check-in details come from each university's own admissions or transportation pages. Hours come from the restaurant's or attraction's own site where possible.
  • We don't copy tour schedules. They change constantly. We describe the usual visit format and link to the school's official sign-up page.
  • Travel times are labeled. Drive times are no-traffic estimates from OpenStreetMap routing. Where we give transit ride times, they're the transit agency's own scheduled times, without waits or transfers.

Independence

We aren't affiliated with any university. Schools don't pay to be included. Some hotel and tour links are affiliate links, and the affiliate disclosure explains how they work.
