Official tour sign-up: OU campus visit sign-up ↗
- Where visits start
- The visit lasts about 2.5 hours: a brief admissions presentation, then a walking tour of about 3 miles with a student guide that takes in state-of-the-art facilities, historic buildings, residence halls and student hubs. Wear comfortable shoes.
- Register online in advance: OU doesn't take walk-ins, tours often fill a few weeks ahead, and each prospective student registers individually with up to two guests. Optional academic sessions can be added.
- Visitor parking
- Visitors park on the green visitor curb on Parrington Oval, in the visitor lot west of Boyd House on Boyd Street or in the commuter lot behind Boyd House off University Boulevard. OU emails a personalized parking pass after you register; print it and put it on your dashboard, or pick one up at check-in.
- Getting there
- Plan to drive: OU is about 32 minutes from the Oklahoma City airport with no traffic. From I-35, take the Main Street exit east about 2 miles to University Boulevard, turn right and cross Boyd Street into Parrington Oval.
- What to know
- The Jones Family Welcome Center is open on weekdays for questions and has self-guided tour materials, and OU posts a self-guided tour online if you want to see more after the official tour.
- The Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History is on the OU campus, about 6 minutes by car from the Welcome Center.
